1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mkulima sokoni ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. Mkulima sokoni is operated by TaiStat Firm.
2. User Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
3. User Roles
Mkulima sokoni supports three user roles: Farmer, Buyer, and Agro-Dealer. Each role grants access to specific features. You must select the role that accurately represents your activities on the platform.
4. Product Listings
Farmers and Agro-Dealers may list agricultural products on the Platform. You agree that:
- All product information (name, price, quantity, location, images) must be accurate and current
- Products must be legal agricultural goods compliant with Kenyan law
- You will not list prohibited, counterfeit, or misrepresented products
- Mkulima sokoni reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms
5. Transactions
Mkulima sokoni facilitates connections between buyers and sellers. Transactions (payment, delivery, quality disputes) are conducted directly between parties. Mkulima sokoni is not a party to any sale and is not liable for transaction outcomes.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Attempt to manipulate pricing, reviews, or verification status
- Scrape, copy, or republish Platform content without permission
- Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code
7. Verification
Verified status indicates that a user has submitted identity or business documents reviewed by our admin team. Verification does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any user's products, services, or conduct.
8. Intellectual Property
All Mkulima sokoni branding, design, code, and content are the property of TaiStat Firm. Users retain ownership of their product images and descriptions but grant Mkulima sokoni a non-exclusive license to display them on the Platform.
9. Privacy
Your use of Mkulima sokoni is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
10. Limitation of Liability
Mkulima sokoni is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, TaiStat Firm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting support.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
